Rod to cylinder wall clearance
I am building a 2.3 stroker. I know most people clearance their blocks because the rod can sometimes hit the cylinder wall. In the end, we all have different setups and I can't find a definite answer through searching.
My setup includes Eagle h-beam rods, an Eagle stroker crank, and Wiseco pistons. I can't find someone who has this same setup to go off of. Most people who are using I-beam rods clearance the block because it will surely hit. I've already installed my rotating assembly and nothing hits but a local shop told me it might hit with once the engine is running due to rotating mass. The issue is that I've already installed the rotating assembly so if I don't have to clearance it, I can just leave it be. If I have to, then I will take it apart again. I've seen a how-to thread on here a while back about someone building a 2.3 on a yellow evo8 with the same pistons and rods but with a factory 4g64 crank and it seemed that he didn't need to clearance the block. Any input would be appreciated.
