Cocktail for IX?
Been doing some searching, but can't seem to find a cocktail for the 8's or 9's. I used grimmspeed's in my WRX and am looking for one for my 9. Any links or suggestions would be much appreciated. I did some searching on here and found one for the X, would it work?
almost every vendor on here sells gearbox oils. whether u want a cocktail or a "single" type of oil, u just need to let them know what u want and they will deliver.
I personaly use redline MT90 in my 5spd.
Spec Ops, Force Fed, MAPerformance, Buschure, AMS and ETS are among the vendors that cary most of the maintenance stuff if not all.

I have tried pretty much most of them from oem, amsoil, penzoil, bg syncroshift to the latest redline MT90 and have found redline to be the best for me. But not 2long ago, Kracka told me that redline has made a new one (mt85?? maybe!) and its suppose to be a cocktail.

Thanks for the advice. I'm looking to smooth out that grind from 2nd to 3rd. Grimmspeed's cocktail did wonders in my WRX. I did see that Redline cocktail from MAP. Might bite on that.
with the redline u will probably notice that its a lil "stiff" when its cold until its warmed, then it becomes butter.
some of the other oils felt very easy while cold, however, when they warm up, they didnt feel to be protecting the gears much. I could almost feel the gears "banging" while shifting.
just my experience!

I have the redline cocktail as well. Its very stiff in the cold weather. I checked my clutch adjustment, made sure there was no drag, lifted the car in the air and checked for the wheels spinning at idle. I have just learned to live with a little warm up time before I get her in gear.
AS said before, once its all warm, like butter!
