Oil Analysis results
Amsoil SSO with 3800 miles on it.
Report Summary
Check for source of FUEL LEAK (injectors, lines etc. Fuel is at a SIGNIFICANT LEVEL; Lubricant and filter change is suggested if not done at sampling
time; FUEL DILUTION has caused viscosity to decrease moderately; BORON is slightly high for this lubricant; Please provide unit Manufacturer/Model in
order to compare data to proper standards for this unit;
Any other suggestions for checking for fuel in oil?
I changed oil @ time of sample.
thanks

You have a wideband on your car correct?? Does it run rich a lot?? Do a compression test, sounds like fuel is getting past the rings. I had an issue with my oil smelling a lot like gas when I was running a non recirc bov with stock maf and it was throwing my a/f all over the place at idle and during cruising...back to a recirc bov for me...

yes on the wideband.
@ WOT AFR is around 11. Idle jumps between 14.5-15.5. Can't remember cruise rpm AFR.
I had compression check around 2500 miles ago when timing belt was done. All #'s were good.
I just got off the phone with the Amsoil rep. He didn't think the fuel ratio in oil was unsually high for an EVO. He was mostly concerned with metals #'s, which were all good.
My car's going to my mechanic for master busing install, I'l mention it him and see what he thinks.
Thanks for the help...

This is 1st change using SSO. Boron higher because of quart or so of Mobile 1 left in system.
In case image does not show, here are a few values.
Fuel GC 4.3 %
VIS100CCS 8.0
TBN Total Base 5.44
LMK if you need more data.
Thanks

Pump Gas only.
My Amsoil rep, didn't think fuel % was issue with a modified EVO?
He did suggest not letting oil go past 3500k between changes
and I was told mainly to focus on TBN which he thought was fine.
Just trying to figure out difference of opinion.
My car is going into shop tomorrow, I'll mention it to my mechanic.
thanks

In my personal experience I have not seen SSO behave that way even on modified cars, he is right TBN is important , i am just wondering why your car diluted the oil so fast way to fast, something is going on posibly with fuel system

My mechanic suggested the following:
Running thicker oil to seal off rings a bit more, 10-40w perhaps.
3000 between changes.
Was of the opinion that the tune is usually a bit rich on these cars.
He is not a tuner. Porsche guy who does lots of turbo work.
I'm running a .026 gap on the plugs. He thinks I should go back to stock 21.
I'm running 1 degree colder which s/b fine.
I'm going to make changes and send out for another test
