deceleration noise
Few days back, I was cruising on 5th gear and whenever I let go off gas I hear weird rattle/humming sound from clutch area. It is similar noise that I hear at idle with the clutch out but louder. Noise dissapears if the clutch engaged or foot on the gas but comes back whenver off gas. Most noticeble on 5th gear though. On local drive, I don't hear much. This sound is something new to me because I have one of most quiet exhaust and never heard this before on cruising situation. What this could be? Oh, still stock clutch, 41,500 miles. I really appereciate any inputs.

I would vote throw out bearing too but I dont see why it would go away when you get on the gas and come back when off the gas, sounds like a drivetrain issue....you sure it's a stock clutch and flywheel? Aftermarket flywheel/clutches do that and I think when you get rid of the bushings in the front and rear. Trans and tc fluid look good and full? Clutch adjusted properly under the dash?

My car makes that noise.... Thought it was the exedy clutch... I rebuilt the tran and put a 4 puck in... Still makes that loud rattling sound on deceleration. Not sure what it is, most people say the clutch... Car makes 500whp and I race so it can't be bad
