3rd and 4th gear trouble
I went to the track last night for the first time (for both me and my
). my launch went fine (although i need to lower the 2-step) and my first to second gear change went fine, but on both my runs i just cant get it in third!
its like i just hit a gate/wall and i cant get it in unless i get off the gas (disengage the no-lift-to-shift) and let the rpm's fall a little bit. if i do that, itll go in, but ive lost my time and power.
I notice it a little on roll racing too. I have to shift a little slow and be precise when going into 3rd on the no-lift-to-shift. it works fine, but i cant power-shift it by any means like i was 1-2 gear.
question is this: am i just a bad driver? or are things in my motor bay moving too much on 100% throttle and no-lift-to-shift? if the latter is the case, would motor mounts help me with this?
setup: sc61 at 27lbs of boost, built motor, quartermaster twin disk, all stock mounts for motor/tranny/rear diff.

ive got the clutch adjusted where engagement is several inches off the floor. unless the clutch needs to be bled again, i dont think thats it..
there is an inch or two of pedal "slack" before feeling pressure though (on engagement).. maybe a re-bleed?
