Launch help!

Okay guys so when i line up on the line to race with my evo 7 and i dump the gas until the launch control comes in at 6500rpms with 12psi boost i jus pop the clutch and my car skates of the line like a front wheel drive... i dropped the tire pressure to about 28psi and that didnt help at all... any ideas to what might be causing this?

Dont feather more than 2-3secs most beginners burn up the clutch by riding it to long.... popping it your looking at damaging the drivetrain.

ok this is something i dont understand....

with evo 9's...dont we have launch control so we can dump the clutch? I guess i assumed this was in place so we didnt have damage to the drivetrain.

Correct me if im wrong here...this has been something ive wondered for a long time

sureee you can dump your clutch if you want your drivetrain to get damaged...
you're supposed to hold the clutch in with car in 1st, start the launch control, depress the clutch until you feel it start to bite, feather the pedal out more and when its about 1/2 to 3/4 the way out, you can pull your foot off and "dump it"...

This is probably the best explanation I've heard yet. Someone should come with a slow-motion video that actually shows you how to do it. I read a lot of explanations for launching prior to racing my car the first couple of times but none of them really made a whole lot of sense in words. I finally figured out how to do it just by trial and error.

How many RPMs in first before beginning to let the clutch pedal down slowly?

While on 1st, with clutch pedal fully depressed, how high in RPMs one should be before starting to let go of the clutch pedal (slowly).
