If you don't know how to do it, your first option is to call FP. They're very helpful. I tried to put a FP WGA on my Black, but it just didn't fit, no matter what I did. I just boxed up the turbo and the actuator, and sent it back to FP, where they didn't call me names or suggest I was dumb, cheerfully did the necessary fitting up of the WGA and installed it on the Black, and sent it right back. While the FP turbos are precision built, they do need fitment of the WGA.

If you're going to try to do the fitment on the Forge yourself, you will need to take a careful look at the setup and decide what massaging is necessary to the WGA to make it fit properly. Then, you can set the preload to your preference and you're good to go.

I would not drive it too much with the system not operating properly. It's no fun, and could cause you problems with your car or your warranty...
I understand that but.. the problem is my Black doesn't came with a WG Actuator because I didnt have an IX turbo core. the forge came with 2 different springs, standard 25psi and 18psi and I used the 18psi one. should I give a shot try the 25psi spring see what it does?

If the wastegate is never closing, that's not generally a problem with the pressure of the spring -- it should have enough length to be fully closed until the boost pressure causes it to retract and open the valve. Changing the boost pressure at which the valve retracts won't solve your problem -- you need the correct positioning in place to start with...

To the op,you should have to pull the w.g. rod out a little to get it over the pin.If its just sliding on theres no preload.

P.s. if you already know this nvm.

With respect to the to your new Forge WGA and its fitment on your FP Black, it could be that the actuator rod is too long which would require trimming a few threads off the end of the rod.

When you buy a complete Black from FP, they fit one of their own 25# actuators to the turbo and inspect it on the bench fully assembled checking for proper WG function, before shipping.
