85.5 mm. Still within the tolerances after honing once more according to the machine shop.

It won't be 85.5, you should measure it, check your piston to wall clearance

I do not have equipment to measure the bore. When my machine shop says it is within tolerances, I trust them. They are a very reputable shop that have existed for a very long time.
They measured the pistons and honed after Manleys spec.
Why do you think it is not within tolerances?

Tolerance is word which is always subjective to experience and application, Numbers are facts and important when building engines. Period

When you hone you always take material out, it may only be 0.01mm to re establish the cross hatch, which is more than acceptable but what if its 0.03-0.05mm bigger.
You may be using oil again not to the volume that you have been
Piston Slap/Oil Consumption/Increased Wear
Allow you to run more Boost, choice !
bla bla bla
If they are so reputable why not let them assemble it too ?
I still think you should know what the piston to wall clearance is.

Who knows it might be the best engine you have ever had and one day you might want to repeat your success but you won't know your numbers to replicate this great engine of yours
Vice versa.

Yes I will see if I can borrow a tool so I can measure piston to wall clearance.

I checked the oil rings with the "special" lower support ring installed and they are more tight/harder to rotate than top and 2nd ring. Is this normal?

what are the ring groove condition's ? have you checked the back and side clearance on the rings ?
You may have carbon build up.
Get an old ring and snap it, use the broken end and dig any s h i t out.
they should slide around and make sure your gaps are in the right places !

measure the side clearance with a feeler blade just hold the piston up to the light for back clearance. PM me if you want the proper way to do it.

Have now done alot of pulls on the dyno up to 8000 rpm and it does not use oil anymore Installing the rings correctly solved it

With pump fuel it made 405 hp at the hubs (Dynapack) @1.2 bar and 516 hp@1.7 bar. Stopped run at 8000 rpm, but it seemed like the power was still climbing.
Will drive some weeks like this and refill with E-85 and heading for 600+hp and 9000 rpm.

Thanks
I will try to upload some pictures later.
Just competed in a 1/8 mile street legal event here locally, with 7.70 breakout. (if you drive faster than 7.60, you were disqualified and was not allowed to race anymore...)
The solution was to just roll past the photocell in the start and then start.
Anyway I was very happy with the performance. I was trapping@ 104 mph and 9600+ rpm with 1.6-1.7 bar boost without any oil in the catch can
1-3 of june I am heading to Denmark for a real 1/4 mile race with E85 and more boost, 600+whp. Hoping to see mid 10s and 140 mph trap speeds.
