HKS RS Intake Installed AFR Changes
Ok. I bought a used HKS RS intake with a Perrin filter. the filter doesn't fit in there so great. So going to get an HKS filter. But the intake is on there now. Car pulls hard and is LOUD whoooooooooosh.. Anyway. My AFR sweeps now. so before at idle it would sit pretty good between 14.9 and 15.2 now it sweeps from 13 to 16.9 at idle.
My car is tuned and I have ETS intercooler, Works TR340 kit with ETS LICP and a custom tune.
So my question is.... Is this normal? At WOT i am around 11.9-12.2 on the AFR its just at idle that it sweeps..
Also where can i get an HKS filter for this thing. that small mushroom looking filter.. That Perrin one is nice but just doesn't fit well.

my guess boost leak before the turbo, double check your clamps make sure there on the flanges on the piping... of course you could be pulling more air then you were before, so a retune is prolly something you should consider soon.

Pic for reference.
It's installed wrong. Doesn't sit right. Did you get the brackets with it? Do a quick search and you'll see what I mean.
The HKS intake is a great intake, but the maf has to be tuned because it will idle outside of the fuel trim Hz.

I see what you mean. I left the stock bracket in there so my Stock UICP could bolt back on. The intake is pretty snug. Doesn't move much at all. But if I have it turned the wrong way that is an issue. Could be why the maf is trying to compensate. I am again open to suggestions. Can't believe I am having issues with installing an intake. :hangs head in shame:

Has a vibrant maf pipe. That perrin filter is pretty big.. i can change the maf adapter just the HKS filter kit is pricey.. WOW.. Car pull really nice and seems to drive ok. Just don't want to mess anything up..
I am not trying to rain on your parade, but, I am having a hard time figuring what part, if any of your particular intake setup is actually HKS.
The filter is not HKS. The MAF pipe is not HKS. The MAF adapter doesn't look like the HKS MAF adapter that I have sitting on my work bench either, for that matter.

Thanks I know what i need i am having trouble finding the filter. not sure what size to get and I can't just get the brackets. I would just have to buy the entire kit again. So.. I put my injectors in today and did some road tuning. Car runs better I think its just sweeping due to more air flow.
