Crankscraper: which one is better? Cosworth or Tomei's?

I think it was Michael @ FP or someone like that... he suggested not to use the Cosworth crank scraper as it actually works against you. So I sold mine. With that said, I'm utilizing the stock baffle with a modified pan and have 0 issues.

I've been using the Tomei setup for some time now. There are no issues to report. What is worthy of note however is this is not a 'bolt and go' item. In order for it to be effective, the metal tangs must be gently bent so each is only about 1mm off the rotating crank weights.

I have installed it multiple times. is it a pain in the ***? yes. how benefitial is it? who knows.

Does it work? not out of the box hell no. It sits way to far away to do anything out of the box.

You will have to grind and make it work for aftermarket bigger rod caps etc also.

I think most of what I just said was probably already covered in this thread, but it needs ot be way closer then what it is out of the box or it does nothing.

Takes about 2 hrs to grind/mock up if you want it to do its job and be effective.

Ted B already probably said everything I said.
