noobie bad turbo questions?

So I have been having this terrible noise in my engine and trying to find where the source of the problem with my car is. started tearing it down and found something that didnt seem normal. there was an excessive amout of black oil buildup all around the inlet of the turbo in front of the turbines. this is a stock turbo by the way. Does this mean my turbo is dying or bad?

Probably oil that is sucked in from the vacuum line between the intake tube and valve cover. I never hooked them up on any of my Mustangs if they had a blower. If the motor is worn the problem is even worse with oil. Put a breather in the valve cover instead.
