I have a whistle sound that seems to be coming from it. Sounds like a bearing whistle sound and it only sounds when i'm giving the car gas. i'm heading to the shop in a few mins so that I can inspect it and check for vacuum and tube leaks. Also to do service on the car, maybe some fresh oil would help, it's due for service.

Any other way to test out the turbo besides taking it out?

Take the intake piping off, reach in there and check for shaft play. Easy way to see if there's anything obviously wrong with it.

whistling could be a boost leak I'd rule that out before pricing out turbos.

I dont hear anything. And the turbo looks good. You would see scratch marls on compressor housing from wheel hitting. And or chipped fins.

Also you would see 'shaft play' that is where the center moves around side to side, what the fins are spinning on.

A lot of people with a similar whistling noise have found it to be coming from the drivers side window:

There are a few other threads but most have had the dealerships replace the drivers side mirror, if that is your issue.

This is what I took out yesterday from the Transfer Case. The most I ever seen and I service it every 10k-15k with Dia queen LSD oil. Some other people said it has a whine sound also.

Going to get a video of my car making the sound today.

So Turbo is good and I could not find any vacuum of boot leaks.
It don't seem like the mirror issue.

Sounds like a woooooooo sound in the video. In the car it seems to have a slightly higher pitch and it only happens when I give the car gas. If I let go of the gas pedal the. U don't hear it.

That looks like a lot of metal for it being changed that frequently.
