Knocking higher & Response slower after changing BOV.

Hi Guys,
my knock register higher & response slower after changing to a new Turbosmart Race Port BOV.

Will a new different bov affect the tune and afr?

Thanks

What BOV did you have on the car before changing to the Turbosmart unit?

Since it is relatively simple to swap BOV's on an Evo, why not reinstall the old BOV so as to see if indeed the turbo's rate of spool and your knock counts return to previous levels? This empirical comparison would pretty much answer your original question.

Hi Sparky,
im using Sard r2d2 bov previous as for now im on turbosmart race port.
I cant swap bck to the previous bov as im on a silicon clamping on the sard to the ic piping and now is a fully welded race port flange to the ic piping lol....

Say, if there is a leak some where on the hoses will it causes the afr to run lean?

No, if ur still on the stock maf and have a boost leak it would run rich since the turbo is pulling in the same amount of air, but it is leaking after the maf but the maf still read that air so it dumps too much fuel.
