Wow that's awesome, I hear a lot of good things about MAPerformance. I'm trying to decide if I want to go with them on Blouch for my engine. Hard to choose. Good luck with your build Ryun, post some videos for us when you fire it up :-)

It is a MAP stage 2 2.0L w/ stage 3 ported head. All installations and tuning are done by my team and myself.

 

It was a joke lol. Car is coming along nicely, I'll be ordering a short block from MAP over the winter as well.

Installed my MAP Setrab 25 Row Oil Cooler kit today. The hardware and brackets that MAP provides in the kit make the fitment 100% as if it were oem.

Quick update. The car is 95% back together. All I am currently waiting on is the gear fluids to arrive which should be in the next day or so. Then this MAP motor will be cranked up for the first time.

 

On a personal note, I found out this morning that my wife and I are expecting to add onto our family in 9 months. Time to shop for a baby Recaro seat.

Just curious, where are you seeing a rough surface? the only picture of the block I see looks like it has rust preventative on it and the only deck surface picture I see of the head looks like it's probably under 16Ra (I think that's the right nomenclature for what I mean. {i mean microinch})
