Im not sure if everyone has seen this yet but fp has finally made a bb black.

Honestly don't think the extra 500 is too bad of a hit for ball bearing.

Just got off the phone with FP.
They said the only thing that's the same from the original FP Black and this one, is the compressor wheel / compressor housing / hot side housing. ALL the internals are different.
They said don't expect to pay under 1,000 for the upgrade from journal bearing to ball bearing (they don't have final pricing yet).
FWIW, he said the biggest difference between the two turbos will be longevity and transient response between gear shifts.
I mentioned that I had the AMS oil pan, Kiggly HLA, FP Gen 2 oil feed line and AMSOIL 20W-50 and he said it probably wouldn't be worth my time upgrading until something broke and and with everything I've done that it will be a long time before my turbo fails.
If I upgrade anything, it will be to a 3586
