Smells like burning or rotting eggs
Normal, my car does it off and on. From brand new (under 1000 miles) up to over 10,000 miles. Don't know if it is the gas or what else, but my car runs fine and the check engine light has never come on to tell me the cat is shot.

What was ambient temperature? On a cold day it is normal for a car with catalyst to emit a sulphur smell. There actually used to be some research papers around on this questioning the usefulness of cats in cold climates for that reason. As pointed out above switching gas brands may help.
