Question Turned up the boost but now making less boost

So recently had issues but they were fixed with closing the gap on the plugs and the lines on my boost controller were on backwards which made it run on wg pressure. Was running about 28 psi and my aquamist was NOT activating yet (set off the IDC). I cranked down my forge mbc about 4 full turns and now I'm running at around 26 psi...wtf?

Yes I did turn the knob the proper way and now the meth is kicking on so thats proof its making more boost (thus hugher duty cycle and activating the meth) but the boost gauge is showing Less...Any ideas?

So what boost level does the boost gauge indicate when you back the MBC knob all the way out counterclockwise to full soft? This will give us a pretty good idea how much preload, if any, your WG is running. Make note of how many full turns you backed the knob out from where you currently have it set until you reach full soft.

Why dončt you swap on another boost gauge so that we can rule out a faulty gauge as the cause of your problem?

Will you please post up your full modlist, i.e. what BOV or DV, full TB exhaust, larger injectors, ported manifold(s), and etc. Who tuned your car? What make of 272 camshafts?
