Ac delete and idler pulley

Do you remove the ac idler pulley too? I did and the belt suggested didn't work it is too long . Now I can't get the bolt back in that pulley hole because the hole is messed up from it being too long when I backed it out. Help!

Having never done this conversion (I like AC) I don't know the answer to whether you remove the idler pulley or not.

As I recall, in order to remove the bolt you needed to first remove the engine mount and lower the engine until the bolt clears the frame. Now, you'd have to do the same thing and chase the threads.

I only removed the AC compressor and left the idler pully. Worked fine for me.

Got it, the belt is barely.long enough with the pulley in, used a short chassis bolt to chase the hole
