You know the more people try to negate the need for a double pump the more they end up buying one in the end. (speaking from personal experience...)
Just sayin...
For individuals like myself who prefer to use a methanol/alcohol injection kit since E85 is not accessible for daily use, this pump would be the last pump that would ever need to be purchased. Regarding others who run E85, this pump will be sufficient to somewhere in the neighborhood of 650whp dynojet. There are certainly customers that will still need a double pumper setup beyond that, but I think it's safe enough to say that about 85% of Evo owners will never need a larger pump then this.

NOW HEAR THIS!!! NOW HEAR THIS!!!
I WAS WRONG, THIS PUMP WILL GO IN THE EVO8-9 PUMP ASSEMBLY WITH SOME GRINDING/CUTTING!
I guess instead of just measuring I should have done some cutting on the assembly. The pump came in an hour or so ago and I started measuring again and then went to grinding.
You can grind or cut the bottom of the stock assembly away, like has been shown but keep in mind BE VERY VERY VERY CAREFUL NOT TO DAMAGE THE PORT THAT HOLDS THE FUEL PUMP PLUG (black thing with the oring/single black wire) on it. IF you damage that port you will ruin your assembly and the pump will NOT work.
The other thing, wiring is easy, much easier than has been discussed, so I get to have one up on the rest
Order the wires that connect to the pump, release the plastic connector from the end of it and then simply put the OEM plug back on the end, it is a plug and play order, just release the pins and swap the plugs. It is a DIRECT plug in to the factory fuel pump assembly. All this tape and extra connectors are NOT needed, it's a PLUG IN.
I have the unit complete and together. I have made sure it does pump and the pump is QUIET!!
The best solution to holding it in the housing is a simple hose clamp around the top of it, it's not going to fall out. The factory fuel pump seal at the top of the pump works on this pump.
It's going to work, period. I am going to take this assembly I have here finished and send it out to have to flow tested, I want to see how much the factory filter and housing choke the flow down, we tested our double pumper that way and this will be the actual flow of the pump in the car and a direct comparison to our double pumpers.
Have a good day.

NICE!!!
Didnt map do it so you could use the bigger filter sock the pumps comes with? Is that an issue still?
Looking forward to your results! I hope they arent disappointing. IM really wanting to get one of these.

Interested to see what the flow data shows. I'm interested in adding this to get rid of the noisy 255 unit. It's much more noticeable when you have your back seat removed. haha
