So will it fit in a double pumper configuration?

Great news for the Evo community!! All it took was a little innovation!! I can't wait to see how it compares. With the extra $300+ dollars saved from a double pumper setup will pay for the new injectors people will need with this pump. Good Work.

For those out there that are not mechanically inclined and don't want to risk damaging their stock unit is this something you guys would be willing to do to stock units? If so cost? Say for sending in their stock unit, having you modify the hangar and install pump? Is the grinding down something that would affect a standard pump placement should someone want to go back to stock?

I'm asking so you can put the info out there for the community and because I'm sure you're already getting requests. While most are comfortable enough to swap a pump there are even fewer who like to try to modify things like this and risk damaging the unit. I'm already running a double pumper but I'm sure there are a lot out there that are curious for reasons like returning to stock and such.

Thanks for the work on this pump

Thanks! where gonna try and run stock regulator for now and just hook a gauge up to the AEM fuel rail thats on the car. Curious to see how this will run with the stock regulator and 2200 cc injectors

It had to be because he was posting prices. If he didn't post prices, I bet it wouldn't have been deleted.

I knew that was going to happen & I 100% understand & agree since prices were posted. I am glad I got to read the thread before it was deleted though. Hopefully MRP sets up a vendor account on here so the thread can be put back up.

+1 that was some good info he posted.

Shouldve just deleted his post with the prices.

Stinks it was taken down. Believe me, if it's meant to be, it'll be.

I'm gonna post this up. The haters will hate...

I currently do not have any more of the 400 lph pumps, because we sold them all out. I also don't have an EVO8-9 core here, waiting on some cores to come back.

I saw the other thread and all the comments.......whatever.

When I get more pumps and a housing I am going to take a video. When I had the pump in my hand and the sending unit I took measurements. The 400 lph pump is the SAME length as the 255, the difference is the big fat end on the 400 lph won't allow it to go inside the fuel pump area enough to seat in the o-ring. In order to get the 400 lph pump up into that o-ring I measured that I'd have to cut enough off the bottom of where the fuel pump sits that it would get into the filter area. That meant the entire housing was "trashed" and it would turn into a single fuel pump kit with an external filter like our double pumper. Maybe I measured it wrong, if so it was an oversight on my part. Obviously since I shipped 4 EVOX double pumpers yesterday and I was promoting this pump for the EVOX my oversight wasn't profit driven like some haters want to accuse me of.

Jarrod just handed me a sending unit that just arrived. I will have the pumps tomorrow, if I end up I measured wrong I'll gladly accept that. Personally I think grinding off that minimal amount that was shown in the other thread is going to have the pump hitting the bottom of the fuel tank and the o-ring on top of the tank unable to seal, making it so the tank leaks fuel when you fill that tank.

I believe the other thread even made mention of "more grinding may be required if the pump hits the bottom of the tank". I also think the pictures reflected the pump not being completely installed in the tank with just 1 nut on the unit.

I hope I'm wrong, then you guys can all use these in the cars. I can make a lot more money (for the haters) selling these to hundreds of guys than I can double pumpers.......

David,

Thanks for posting up and telling it how it is. You are one of few long timers who actually come on here and go back and forth instead of vanish to your business ignoring the community. Hopefully an easy solution is possible if not, oh well the double pumper is just fine for 99 percent of everybody else. I look forward to the vid as I'm sure do the others.

Dave,

I'm sure you did read that thread, most likely right before you hit the report button. I predicted to others that you would still play skeptic about the fitment even with proof of detailed pictures and a full how to. I'm sure you'll find some sort of fault with the fitment with your personal effort to make it work as well, although at this point it would be wise not too.

Ryu, man you are just a flat out hater....hard to even attempt to discuss anything with someone like you. Did you read what I wrote? Nope, probably not. The height of the unit has already been discussed in this thread. In the other thread there was no actual running of the car or testing, just "Grind this and put it in, more grinding may be required" The MORE GRINDING part is what I found measuring the two pumps and the stock unit and is why I thought you'd up up cutting into the actual filter area of the assembly, making it pointless to do it. I went over all that. If you took note in the other thread, instead of just typing crap about ME, you'd have noticed he said "MORE GRINDING MAY BE REQUIRED" you'd have also notice the final installation pictures APPEARED TO ME that the pump was still up too high and only had ONE NUT holding the assembly in. IF the overall height is too much and you don't get a good seal between the tank/pump assembly, when you fill the car with fuel you will get a severe leak.

I won't discuss it further with you as it's pointless. When I get a pump back here I'm going to show the measurements to justify my initial thoughts and then try cutting/grinding off enough to make it actually go in and seal. If I was wrong, big deal, I will post that up too.

Also, read the forum rules on vending before you run your mouth about why the thread was deleted.
