I knew it could be done. I have a dw300 pump with the stock fpr. No problems with over running. I'm sure this would overrun it though. Just curious how this pump will do with E85. I haven't seen anything saying its compatible. Does the walbro come with the electrical connector pictured? Good write up by the way

This one is supposed to be quieter than the 255.

If you notice on the housing where the bottom piece clips in to secure the fuel pump, there are 3 locations for the clips to grab onto. You are going to want to grind the plastic to almost the beginning point of the clip (look at image 3). Once that is completed you will notice that the walbro increases in diameter towards the bottom of the pump. You will need to shave the inside of the housing so just about 2 cm of the walbro fit. One this is complete test it out by sliding the walbro into place and snaping the bottom clip into place.

The walbro 255 clip plugs right into the new 400 pump wiring, NO CUTTING!!!

Ofcourse it "wouldn't fit" as it's no where near as lucrative as a double pumper sale.

But good job figuring this out none the less. You have one uped david buschur whether you knew it or not cuzz like stated before he said "it simply can't be done" end quote.
No he won't. He's too cocky and full of himself to admit fault. Yes it would have been sweet had I gotten a hold of a pump and posted details first since I was the one that directly defied David Buschurs claims that this pump won't work for the 8/9, but a big hats off to these guys for doing what I completely believed could be done. Making this pump fit at VERY LITTLE EXTRA COST! As I planned before even seeing this thread, I will be ordering one of these pumps at the end of the week. I'm happy to say, with this pump, I will never need a double pumper for my setup.

For everyone asking about doing an upgraded fuel line, Aeroquip Pushloc (available from Jegs, Summit, etc) is ethanol compatible and very easy to work with. If you're in need of upgrading the stock fuel line, this is without a doubt the easiest way to do it. In my case, with the Buschur Double Pumper, -6 (3/8") Pushloc simply slides over the outlet of the filter supplied with the double pumper, and you can use this to connect it to the rail-

http://www.streettunedmotorsports.co...l_fittings.htm

Zero reason for 99.9 percent of the cars on here to go bigger than -6. FWIW, my car saw a massive DECREASE in injector duty cycle from upgrading the line. Cheap, easy, and no reason why it should not be done on a car that's making over ~500whp on ethanol.

EDIT- Aeroquip hose from Jegs http://www.jegs.com/i/Aeroquip/023/F...rentProductId=

I'm glad someone figured this out. I figured it would be a matter of time.

I would like to know this as well.

A single pump would at least give linear flow. When my double pumper kicks in the AFR goes rich at part throttle. I would think a single pump would keep this from happening.

after reading this thread my head hurts sooo much i think i will look into a surge tank and external pump - much more suited for my applications and much less head noise and name calling...
