I got the completed EVO8-9 sending unit back today we modified for the new 400 lph pump. I also received the flow sheets.

I'll post a few data points below for those of you interested:

13.2 volts test

40 psi pump only, 650 lb/hr
40 psi with unit attached, 620 lb/hr

70 psi pump only, 469 lb/hr
70 psi with unit attached, 450 lb/hr

Amp draw remained the same at both levels. So there is a 30 lb/hr loss at 40 psi and a 19 lb/hr loss at 70 psi. That is more substantial that I understood it to be on the phone and does show some restriction in the housing, as I suspected.

15.0 volt test:

40 psi pump only, 735 lb/hr
40 psi with unit, 700 lb/hr

70 psi with pump only, 575 lb/hr
70 psi with unit, 563 lb/hr

Again a difference in flow. Those are the basics. Both pumps were flowed from 4 psi to 110 psi at both voltages. I'd rather pay the money for the test and know what I am selling than run my mouth and guess, like some.

I have this complete unit here, modified and ready to drop in a car if anyone wants it. If I don't sell it quickly I will cut it apart and turn it into a double pumper. I think on one of the previous pages I said we do them for $275 with a core. Just call the shop to order, the pump was run during the testing only.

Someone should freaking jump on that! Be a shame to chop it up.

So for those that used the pump on 7-9 with stock fpr how did it go? does it need aftermarket or can stock be used without problems?

thanks

A rewire kit with a DW needs an aftermarket FPR so this leads me to believe this will definitely need one as well.

Hard to say at this point. See post #12 here for a couple of people that seem to be ok with the stock fpr:

I decided to buy the pump and an aftermarket adjustable FPR but I have not installed them yet.

So based on those flow rates, this is about the same as an Aeromotive A1000 at 70 psi! That is pretty darn impressive. Same they do not make an external inline pump. I would need 2 externals.

I'm still searching for anyone that's running the Wally with an OE FPR as well. Guess we'll hear something positive soon.
