Engine vibrations

Hi all after a little advice on some vibrations im feeling through my accelerator/gas pedal in my evo 5

Car has a forged 2.4 engine with no balance shafts and when driving the car hard im getting vibrations through the accelerator/gas pedal from about 3500-5500 RPM which is as high as im revving the car as its only just finished running in.

I know the balance shafts were there for starters to eliminate vibrations and i have read a few things about the in-line 4 cylinder engine being prone to vibrating due to its design.....so i can only presume that as i now have no balance shaft some vibrations are almost certain????

The annoying thing is the car was off the road for 5 months having lots of work done so totally forgot how it drove on the old engine.

So if anyone can help put my mind at rest that would be great.

Thanks all

Craig

Have just read on here that when installing aggressive cams this can also cause engine vibrations??

I have tomei 270 cams that have an 11.5mm lift........lots of other cams out there have 10.5mm and 10.8mm for example so could the extras lift on my cams cause the problem??

Also my lash adjusters tick a little bit could this cause any vibrations when engine is revving high??

Do you have the factory rubber motor mounts installed in your Evo?

Yep w/o balance shafts its LOUD at ~4k RPM. The added displacment can't help either.

If anyone else can confirm the vibrations are normall it will be much appreciated.
