breather valve?

i am running my evo 8 without a breather valve connected to anything..is there any draw backs?
and is it somehow related to my car dying when i push in the clutch while i brake,or when i rev above 6000 rpms and back off the gas while standing still the rpm drops below 500 and dies sometimes?

The only draw back is that you're releasing emissions into the atmosphere. Not a concern to most of us.

Your other issue sounds like an airflow metering issue. Possible vacuum leak???

You should connect that opening to a hose and run it to your intake tube. That is how it is used on a stock setup. To lower oil blow-by gasses from getting into your intake use an oil catch can, then run it to the intake tube.

im not worried about that!..i just want to know running a open breather valve without connecting to anything is that the issue i have?...which is when i rev the car standing still and let go off the gas it dies or comes below 500 rpms and kind of starts shaking the whole car and after a few seconds it idles perfect again?

if i get a breather filter will that help or that isnt connect to the problem i have?

If you don't have a vacuum leak check your idle step. If your TB is out of adjustment it won't catch the revs properly as it drops down.
