Mobil 1 Grade

Hi all, what grade of engine oil you guys use for your car? Mobil 1 fully synthetic 5W30 or 10W30? Thanks.

I live in Virginia, what I heard from the service guy at the dealer was, he told me to use 5W30 all year long.

Is there a reason you guys pick the 5w-30 Mobil 1?

Pour points are the same on both at -45C, flash point is 20C higher on the 10W. Plus, it has less viscosity modifiers to shear and cause sludge.

Why not use what the Mitshu engineers that designed the engine say to use? See the table of ambiant temp versus oil viscosity in the owners manual. Basically 10w30 unless it is colder than 0 F.

Castrol Syntec 5w30. I find it breaks down a lot less quick than sorry *** Mobile 1

Syntec isn't even a full synthetic.


If money is not an issue, Amsoil series 2000, redline, or royal purple.
