acceleration noise/vibration

whenever i accelerate from a stand still i hear a very loud vibration from the drivers side front of the car... It starts around 2k get louder, vibrates the steering wheel a little bit, then disappears at 3k..

im hoping it nothing more than a loose bolt somewhere.. but i doubt it.

its a very high pitched sound and it onyl happens in first gear..

thanks
BUDLoNG

I don't really know but I'd try to pin down whether it is an engine noise or a driveline noise. When you're in the range, swerve from side to side. Does the noise change? If so, maybe wheel bearing/brake, etc. Pull the wheel and kind of look it over. If the noise doesn't change when swerving, then motor/clutch. Why don't you just take it in to the dealer?

Being that it only happens in first gear indicates it's a speed related problem which then make me thinks it's the tires. Much like the noise a lot of people notice when coming to a stop.

Afraid I'm not a good enough Internet tuner to figure this one out. I guess I'd look for something loose and if there are any mods I'd double check them first.

I've got that too. Between 15-35mph range. IT's THE TIRES (fronts). It will go away with tire wear. Mine went away until I rotated my rear tires to the front. Drive your car hard for a while to reduce the tread compound or fix your toe and camber. I'm looking for another brand tire as we speak but will drive my ADVANS to the ground brfore I do anything.

A good turbo back exhaust set up will mask the noise under acceleration.
