The car is retarded right now, but soon we will get some numbers on E85. This has been Aarons dream for a while and soon became mine, and well when you get Aaron and I together we either waste time dreaming of bad a$$ ideas or we get **** done like this! Big thanks to the knowledge of our ER team and i want to give a shout out to my buddy Chris and his tweaker machanic skills. Oh yeah and to Luke for telling us we wouldn't get it to work, which at the time drove us even more, and now looking back I see what he was doing! LOL, he knew it would push us to figure out a way to make it happen quicker!
To all those that don't only drag race I'm right there with you, so my goal is to get this setup to annihilate every area a manual excels and more. Simple put this whole project will be more than impressive

I had to tell my friend about this as soon as i read the first post! He was born with one hand and loves evo's so this would be something that could greatly improve his life. Sounds like it will be a little closer to available by the time he was thinking of trying to find an x mr since it was his only auto evo option but now he might have another!!!! Awesome work guys.

NICE JOB!
I did something similar on the old TwinTurbo 240Z initially running a Mitsubishi Starion auto trans.
As far as power, the stock units don't typically hold much power, but in the case of the Mitsubishi Starion tranny it didn't take much to beef it up. Some better frictions and the ability to up the line pressure was all it took and the stock tranny supported 11.0@130mph all day long. My point is that I am sure simple mods can be done to make the tranny more robust. I think the biggest challenge will be getting someone to build a good converter.
My buddy Russ runs a tranny control business...

I see that he supports some Mitsu trannies so you could see if he can mod one of his existing controllers for this application.
