B/c the stock DP flows like crap (bends, flat spots, kinks...) and the 2.5" is the diameter of the stock DP with much better flow and low end torque than a 3" DP (which granted make more high end hp).

Well if you are worried about replacing your cat, get the B&B turboback. I have it installed with the stock cat. I too don't want to have to worry about emissions so I am using the stock cat. I am not too found of high flow cats, they smell just as bad as no cat.

I assume this is a 2.5 inch system that includes a downpipe and catback (with a muffler)? I wonder what the power gains are compared to the Buschur combo? How does it sound?

Well look at it this way:
Muffler Delete Pipe: 130
2.5" downpipe: 225
-----------------------------------
Total 355 *(fixed per kdogg, prices good till Jan 16th)

That's pretty inexpensive for a similar performance boost to a 3" catback system, and being quieter (supposedly) to boot.
For those like myself who wish to keep the stock turbo, this appears to be a good upgrade path.

What I would like to see is how the 2.5" md/dp setup compares to a 3" turboback system with both using stock, 264/264, and 272/272 cams.

(for reference: I don't believe in the 264/272 combo, to me I feel that I would rather go to a full 272/272 or stick with a 264/264. It really appears your not gaining that much extra on the top end to make it worth it. I can live with a lumpier idle and just go full 272.. but again, your milage may vary)

Whatup!

I have the Buschur Axle-back muffler. Believe it or not, I actually got a ticket in Mass (Attleboro) for "altered exhaust". I have a court date later this month. I'll let you know how it goes. Keep in mind I had been stopped for speeding and the officer said that I had modified my exhaust as well....

This is definitely not an overly loud system. I had an Integra with a Greddy that was much louder. My Audi with a Forge-Milltek was about the same or a little quieter. For the most part, you shouldn't be hassled too much, but it has tempered my enthusiasm for a full 3 inch turbo back system, and I'll definitely be keeping my cat.

I'm really encouraged by the posts that the 2.5 inch dp will benefit my setup noticeably. I had a nice improvement with the AB, MBC, and SAFC, and would love a little more without much more noise.

My daughter will be born in April, but maybe around my bday I can get the 2.5" dp.

Take care,

Sorry guys, we didn't get to that stage. We did the Stage 3 and 4 and more or less ran out of time.

We are going to get the numbers and results in the weeks to come as the base tune is set up.

Sorry.

LordHighBinary,
I ordered the Muffler Delete pipe. I should have it installed tonight.
I live a few miles from you. PM me if you'd like to see it.

Sean,
Do you have the Downpipe as well, or just the Muffler delete?
