Question about DBB FP-RED??

I've received a FP DBB red.. If I don't take the turbo apart and not mount on the car, is there a way to check if it's DBB or JB??

spin it. it should spin longer than your JB stock turbo or JB red

spin it with your fingers. JB will stop almost instantly. BB will spin for a while.

Call Robert and he will walk you through all the things that are different. The JB and DBB center sections are very similar and spin almost the same. When I tested these for Robert back in March, I had to call him because I thought he sent me a JB. lol Hard to tell the difference.

Until oil is in the turbo, they will spin very similarly.

The Ball Bearing center section oil supply fitting has 7 sides on its base. You won't have a wrench for it

The other thing is there are hex plugs in the center section instead of what appears to be a tiny freeze plug.
