Do you want a bolt-on, stock framed turbo, or do you want to do a full kit? What fuel will you be running(E85, pump, Meth, etc)? What will be the end use of your Evo(DD, Drags, Auto-X, HPDE's)? Finally, how much money do you want to spend on the turbo and ancillary bits and pieces?

Well I will love a full kit I'm thinking on spend anywhere between 7k-8k. Use it has a dd but take it auto x once in while. Pump gas 91 and what you think meth or e 85 there is only one station that sale it here in El Paso.

I'd want to know more than the turbo, what supporting mods do you have? Throwing a big turbo is not the big deal, do you have a supporting motor, fuel, tune, trans, etc.?

?How conveniently located is that one E85 station to your house or work? I would look into a dual switchable map setup with a 91 octane daily tune and a E85 "Race" tune. I would do a BR 2.3 high rev build. Go with either of the following bolton turbos depending on preference: FP BB HTA Green, FP BB Red, CBRD BBKB-BB, a MAP EF3, or the ubiquitous BB CBRD BBK. Run FIC 1450's and a Buschur staged double pumper.

I realize that the BBK is a bit of a stretch for low 500's, but it is a great all-around turbo. The Green will get you into the low 500's with your projected build. The Red will carry you into the mid 500's on E85. The BB BBKB should fall midway between the Red and the Green power wise. The M.A.P. EF3 is an intriguing option that is putting out some nasty power as well. There is an upcoming BBK-C, but I don't have any info on that one yet. I just wouldn't go much larger than any of the above turbos if I was considering doing any parking lot(Auto-X) events.

Its going to be hard to make the power you are looking for and have a good auto x car. You will probably be beaten by lower powered evos in auto x. I have a 3582 setup and I get stomped by stock engine evos in auto x heh. I would say you could be in the 400whp range and still be competitive with the stockish evos if not beat them, but any higher than that and good luck, unless you are the brake boost master.

Now move on to road course or hill climb racing (real world conditions) and you have another story.

Additional displacement will obviously help spool, we've seen 2.3L powered EF3 cars spooling in the late 3000's which should be pretty manageable for AutoX.

FP red or Black. Just port the exhaust manifold and you will have a sleeper.

Also get some cams, fuel injectors, intercooler, new piping and a new clutch.

In my opinion, if you have the funds, +1 for a stroker motor.
