No power to fuel pump relay (B-128)

Hello there. I'm new to the site but i have a problem with my Evo 7 (2001). I've had it around 3 years now and never had a problem with it. I was driving it most days over the festive period but one day when i went to start it, it didn't start. The engine was turning over fine but just wasn't firing. Further inspection by a mechanic showed that the fuel pump wasn't working. So he apllied power to the pump and it started fine. Checking the relay (the right one (B-128) out of the two on the bulk head wall as you look in the engine bay.) he said that there is no power to the relay to close the loop. I'm going to do a quick hard wire for now to move it into my garage. Any ideas of what the problem is or where to look would be great. It had been raining hard for days and i've read moisture (especially passenger footwell) can be a problem. Also i have a Viper 500 alarm/immobiliser. REgards.

I've just ran a lead from the fuel pump to an aftermarket rear fog lamp for now and it work fine. I think it may be moisture in the passenger footwell as there is a slight noise from one of the connection boxes on the left. Just need to find what it does now. Think a hardwire kit maybe on the cards.
