Looking to get Intake, MBC, TB exhaust and some type of ECU upgrade/flash.....
Let me know a few good set ups and combinations for good HP increase numbers.
Thanks

Hmm..
1) Intake - ok.. are you planning to change intercooler? If not, go for the ralliart flat panel filter on the stock box because you want the air going in as cool as possible for better boost and knock reduction. if yes, go for something that has heat shielding. Your intercooler would be able to help cool the warmer/hotter air. Not much in terms of HP but makes your throttle response much better (maybe a 2-5hp increase)
2) MBC - err.. i'd go straight to EBC like the Greddy Emanage type or the Turbosmart (both has boost meters so you save on getting a separate gauge) http://www.turbosmart.com.au HP increase depends on whether your linkages between intake and intake manifold can take the added boost.. change BOV to higher rated recirculating). Approx Hp increase with 1.3 bar ~ 10-15hp or more.
3) TB exhaust - depends on what you like.. a 3" downpipe all the way through to the cat back will help your turbine spool faster and give you about 10-30hp. What you choose is subjective to things like sound level and price.. but they all do the same job.. always look for one that has as little hard bends as possible (go for mandrel type bends whereever possible)
4)ECU upgrade.. - i'd go for a recirculating BOV before i get one of these so you can increase your boost pressure. Once you have that... what computer you choose depends on your budget and how far you want to go.. Some lets you control everything.. some lets you control AF and ignition...
Light tuning computer-
a) SAFCII by Apexi - controls AF ratios and gives power by leaning out AF mixures... about 15-20 hp increase depending on tuner and fuel
b) Xede (Vishnu) - Ask Shiv..
c) Dynoflash - Ask Al...
d) Unichip - hmmm...
e) HKS Power FC
f) Greddy E-manage
Mainframe type Computers
-
a) Autronics SMC/SM2
b) EMS
c) HKS FCON PRO
The best question to ask yourself is, do you want a street car or a drag strip car....

Because the air you will be pulling in will be warm and the turbine will heat up the air even more... before pushing it into the IC... which spends only a little time passing thru in cooling it a few degrees.. and the output warm air will 1) reduce your boost 2)increase probability of detonations (especially with tune ups)
A larger FMIC will cool the air more because it has a longer travel time and more heat is transferred to the fins and cooled by the moving outside air... I would recommend sticking with flat panel in the box because the cooler the air hitting the turbine, the lower the output temp...

Whatever mods u want to install.. think about it logically... dont take my word or anyone elses word for it... understand what makes power and how it makes power.. then come out with your reasoning...
The way i go for power ups is to base things on engine safety 1st and then power... i dont want my engine to go before i do
Detonation is the killer for all engines...

Why waste your money on an intake. Its a pretty debated subject, but I think most honest tuners agree they due little to nothing for performance.Vishnu,a very knowledgable tuner, has a stock intake on their stage 2 car that runs mid 11sec 1/4 times. Untile you due a turbo upgrade and engine manangement I would not bother and then it probably only be a Ralliart drop-in.
If your just sticking to the basics, save your money for stuff that actually does something, like an exhaust from Buscher and maybe an A/F controller. You will mos def feel the difference with these 2 realitivly cheap mods.

That said, i will be changing mine to a BLitz Supersonic because i already have my large FMIC and will be removing the box.. that's the reason i asked whether you have any intention of doing the same.. if yes, then just swap for the open funnel intakes... and wait for the FMIC upgrade..
