Your history is good but it leaves a lot of gaps and questions. How do you know that the person that owned before you didn't put a brand new clutch?

The clutch life depends on many many factors:

How you drive it
How you rev it
How you shift(hard/ soft)
How often you shift

There are clutches that lasted 1800 miles and even less. For the most part it looks like you are taking care of your car and the way you drive it.

62k still on the clutch it drove off the lot with in 04. I launched car maybe once/twice in '07 when I was testing out the stationary rev limiter and that's about it. DD and light track duty.

Going to get it inspected at ER at some point this year.

gonzo posted he bought the car new with roughly 40 miles, not 40k miles... big difference. most likely a test car at the dealership.

I am the original owner of the vehicle. Bought it with ~40 miles, not 40,000. It is my daily driver, I definitely wouldn't say that I abuse the car, but it is driven spiritedly on the roads.

I am at 178K with my stock clutch. It still runs fine with no issues.

Lightly modded, no drag racing, only road tracks here and there.

clutch !

I am at 71k, bought it about 2 months ago, only put about 2.5k miles on it and last month the clutch seems to be slipping every once in a while ..it's very strange. I would assume it's the stock clutch since it is in need of some pricey maintenance - timing belt (and other supporting parts to be safe) & brakes. I had all the driveline fluids changed over since I didn't know the car's prior history.

BTW..the car is completely stock! This is why I am surprised by the slipping....but then again it's all reliant on how it was driven....

I am looking at getting an Exedy Street Clutch as soon as I can afford it, after the timing belt/60k service (I think tq capacity is around 450lb...I simply cannot afford a twin disk), this clutch any good? I figured I'd pick up a SS clutch line & brake lines while I get all this work done, people find either of these worth it? Does the brand matter or SS=SS? lol

134k...I can only imagine! haha
