I Installed mine in my garage with the help of the STM install kit. It was just like installing a 255,except I had to cut the bottom or the pump housing. Overall it took about 20 mins to install.

I'll be getting tuned later this month with my FP black and e85 shooting for 35 PSI, and im positive this will hold up

I ordered my 400lpm from STM earlier this week with the rewire and install kit. They had a special running on this pump with the add-ons not sure if they are still running the sale but it was on the forums here. Talk to Justin or Brian they will point you in the right direction!

STM FTW.

We are still running this special! Yes we try to have fun with our customers where we can! We try to always throw something extra in the box to let everyone know we appreciate everyone's order! Glad you received your pump. For those who want a reference a stock Evo VIII puts down 216 whp on our Mustang Dyno. We have maxed this pump out around 575 whp and the car trapped around 137 mph! Any other questions feel free to shoot me a PM!

I had the pump already installed, but spoke with Justin earlier this week and ordered the STM rewire kit. From what he told me, they used their re-wire kit and it was on a stock FPR.

Hope that helps.

With the STM special, you really can't go wrong.

This is great to know as I have been seriously contemplating getting rid of my BNIB DW300 for this fuel pump since I already have the STM re-wire kit.

A Walbro 255 and DW 300 will both overrun the factory fpr with a standard rewire, so I'm sure a Walbro 400 will overrun the factory fpr with a standard rewire.

From what I have seen with the Walbro 400, a fuel pump rewire is unnecessary, and can actually do harm if you have upgraded fuel rail and AFPR. This is true on Evo X and older Evos. On the Evos that I have seen with upgraded fuel rail and AFPR, a rewire will create too much base fuel pressure that can't be adjusted down. When the upgraded wiring was removed, fuel pressure was back to normal and adjustable. Just what I have seen. I would like to hear other users' input.
