AEM EMS to Stock ECU SD
After sorting through information and just doing the swap, it turned out to be easy.
Honestly, the Stock ECU is great. I have noticed NO ill side effects, and it is a ton easier to tune than the EMS.
All I did for the swap was:
-Replace AEM 5 Bar with Omni 4 Bar
-Replace 11 tooth crank trigger wheel with OEM crank trigger wheel
-Replace modified cam trigger wheel with OEM cam trigger wheel
-Plug factory harness into Stock ECU!
So, there's a black and white "what you need to change" for anyone else who stumbles upon this thread.

i would be really interested in your reactions, going back to stock and sd in com parison to your aem. i have been on an aem like almost 5 yrs, i just switch back to the stock ecu and go thru, and change right back, or should i say the man that tunes my car takes car of it.

SD on the stock ecu requires a map sensor, fuel temp or air temp. Thats all. Any map sensor and pretty much either method of acquiring a temp reading does the trick... take a look at your engine bay if theres an aftermarket ign system just make sure its stock ecu friendly. Look for other non stock sensors. Sd is very simple on the stock ecu.

My main question was just about which sensors are specifically for AEM, and which sensors were stock.
I have an IAT on the UICP and I have a Coolant Temp sensor on the block. I don't have a knock sensor, but we tune with a stethoscope to work around that, and I obviously have my crank and cam sensors. Anything I'm missing? Boost is controlled manually. I suppose I should be good to go then. Would I have the ability to unplug the EMS and plug the harness right into the Stock ECU, or do I have to re-wire everything into a different "plug" to fit the stock ECU?
