Also, I should add that a blown head gasket, although possible, USUALLY wont pop a freeze plug out, it will simply force more coolant through the radiator cap. Most radiator caps are around 15psi, and it takes a hell of a lot more than that to pop out a freeze plug... Not trying to offend, just so thats clear.
Never mind--
Disavow anything I said here-- I must have been smoking something.. i could have sworn the OP said he rebuilt the motor and I assumed he meant really rebuilt it from the bottom up and had a problem after a clean build.. I clearly see that was not the case. No harm no foul.

All new gaskets... rings... bearings... it ran fine no issue... until the freeze plug popped out... I then changed to my fp black and added a catch can...
The car was only started for 15 min 3 times just to idle as I was checking for leaks and waiting to put my ds bushings in...
When I found the leak I decided to drain my oil so I can pull the pan and pull the oil pump to check the gasket that's when I noticed the milky oil...
So if the block cracked after the freeze plug came out then I guess its that because the head gasket is in great shape...

since adding the catch can and the freeze plug coming out i havent driven the car only allowed it to idle for 15 min intervals over a few days...
im thinking those that stated cracked coolant track are correct... because everything else seemed fine...
SOOO should i stick to my 2.0 with manley crank, ibeam rods and wiseco HD pistons... OR go 2.4??? and if so can i re-use any of my parts from my 2.0 block...
i had a similar issue, with a catch can and PCV valve that wasnt working correctly. It was sucking in atmosphere air that was moist and thus creating a water pool in my catch can and then giving me milky oil. Id pressure test the engine, if it was coolant leaking you would be running higher then normal temps since it wouldnt be able to pressurize or self bleed thru the radiator cap. Youll also notice Steam Flowing from the engine once the water has entered it cause its boiling off,[thru the catch can breather] if it was a coolant mix it would take a higher temp to burn off the water/coolant mix so you wouldnt notice steam.
Pull the oil pan and pressure the engine, see if the block and or/coolant passage is leaking down.
