AMS 3076 in Evo VII
I'm looking at buying a used AMS 3076R turbo for my E7. The turbo however is only coming with the oil return line. What else would I need for it to work? Would I be able to buy an install kit for the E8/9 and get the other lines gaskets and bolts that would work? The E7 turbo specs are:
p/n = 49178-01570 (GSR)
p/n = 49178-01580 (RS)
Turbo = TD05HR-16G6-9.8T (GSR)
Turbo = TD05HRA-16G6-9.8T (RS/RS2)
Nozzle Area (cm2) = 9.8
TD05HR turbine = GSR Inconel (steel alloy)
TD05HRA turbine = RS/RS2 = Titanium alloy
Compressor 16G6 = Aluminium
Inducer = 48.3mm
Exducer = 68mm
Turbine housing = twin flapper
I know it's a stretch, but if anyone has actually done this swap I'd dearly love some input. Thanks

Basically, a turbo kit. Well, minus the turbo in your case.
Such as http://www.streettunedmotorsports.co..._placement.htm, or https://secure.buschurracing.com/cat...b27b240893c99c.

If you want to bolt it to the stock manifold, you would need a different housing for the turbo.

You would still need to buy an O2 housing, wastegate, dump tube, down pipe, intake piping, oil feed line, coolant lines, and maybe a couple fittings and gaskets. I would personally, only take this route if you're planning on doing custom everything since this is not a kit. Could save you money but I would stick with T3 and get a kit to make things simple.

Now I'm confused, AMS is telling me it will work on the E7! This is their e-mail in response to my query.
Hey Kevin,
It should bolt on the Evo 7 no problem but there might be fitment issues with the intake pipe and oil return line as the pan is different. Otherwise it should bolt on ok.
Thanks

I think AMS is confused and thinks you already have a T3 manifold. This is what your flange looks like on your stock manifold.

You will not be able to bolt that turbo onto your stock manifold. You would need to get a T3 manifold, wastegate, etc. to make it work.

I just bought my gt3076r for my evo 8. But mine going to bolt on to my stock manifold tho. U can check out the turbo on eBay... Just put gt3076r evo 9 on the search... Bought mine for a ill bit $1799 plus shipping. I will get mine in a week.
