Nice numbers ! I plan on utilizing that setup in the near future , so how's the spool of the bb red compared to stock ix turbo?

I'm definitely not saying that the bbk is a bad turbo though, I was actually considering it myself before I picked up the red. I've seen people talking about the BB BBK a little, but haven't heard of the BBK-C. I'll have to look into it.

Drifting Away, that is pretty good numbers. just out of curiousity, is that on e-85 (referring to your sig)? I've tossed the idea around, but I don't really know where to get it around here so I just run 93 all day.
Its E-85 #'s

I am looking for any direct comparo of a JB Red vs. JB BBK-B. Not really interested in power numbers just the relative spool difference between the two turbos. I was under the impression that the BBK-B spools a bit quicker than the Red. Are we talking a couple hundred RPM, or what?

Or still comparing apples to apples, it would be equally informative to compare the spool up of the BB-Red to that of the BB-BBK-B(aka 3B, I think).

Eh I can get you that data this weekend, me and a friend of mine have the same setups, just he has a JB Red and I have a JB BBK-B. I spool quicker but honestly its not that big of a difference.

A big advantage is, that the BBK-B has a real genuine Garrett GT28 CHRA. Where there is no longterm operating experience of the new dual ceramic ball bearing design from FP.
The Garrett is old school technology, and is not ceramic bearing. The FP CHRA is ceramic bearing, and has patent-pending cutting edge technology, that I suspect you have no information about.

The Garrett CHRA is NOT an advantage in this comparison...

Road Course or 1320? That all really depends on the driver mod.

other then being proven to work over and over again.... ive seen gt28r's with 60K miles on them running strong. fp's "cutting edge technology" hasnt proven anything yet. id rather get something that i know will last.

+1. Nothing against FP at all but I feel the same way. 2/3 years from now it may be different.
