Mike,

I can get these parts for you. The price on MD770339 is $xxx and the price on MD748306 is $xxx. It would take me a few business days to get these shipped in. Let me know if you would like me to order these parts for you.
Thanks!

Tim

Done and Done.

Want a 4.111 final drive? Now you have no excuse.

(prices removed because they might have changed).

Jackstransmission's prices are better than these.

Is there a factory part number for a 4.0 final drive?

Bumping an old thread. Has anyone confirmed these part numbers are correct and how durable are they?

I've been running a 4.0 for quite a while now and find it very tall.

With a rev limit of 8k speeds are roughly from memory:
1st - 70km/h
2nd - 120km/h
3rd - I think was almost off the speedo (so 180)

I trapped at 228kmh (142mph) and still had quite a few rev's left in 4th gear.

That's with standard Evo 6 GSR ratios and the 4.0 MFactory final drive

Despite final ratio, aren't gear changes going to be more or less the same? More stress in first and the over driven gears, but would the changes from 1-4 be pretty close, seeing how RPM drops are similar?

Or does all that change too?

You're in each gear longer. I like and dislike the 4.11 final drive. I like that the car drives out of corners with all kinds of grip, and I can hold 4th to over 130. I don't like that the car is a lot less of a hoon machine. This is probably due to the lower torque of the stock block, and I'm looking forward to a motor build.

Bloody hell that's long. I remember only getting 120 out of 3rd gear on my original gearbox

I'm used to my RS gearing with the 4.875 final, although i've rebuilt my gearbox and dropped the 4.529 final in and really like it, i'm glad I didn't go with the 4.111 I had lying around, I like my car all punchy.
