Broken valve cover baffle discovered

Just getting around to putting my valve cover back together tonight and found this-



I didn't do this, it was caused by (I assume) engine vibration.

If you're highly modded (and/or without your balance shaft), IMO it's worthwhile to pull your cover and look for this.

Now you have to drill and tap just like the sand in the valve cover from getting painted. Drill tap and race wire bolts to keep them from loosening up.

i have one broken baffle ugh. Hopefully i can weld this. and hoping it fixes a rattle i've been hearing lol

I can't see the picture. I'm just laughing at the thread being so old. idk how welding whatever the baffles are made from to magnesium goes.

ah. I'm just adding to the content. not many posts about broken baffles.
I added bolts to give them new 'legs'
