All depends on preference and application if your a DD the 2.3 or 2.4 seem to be the way to go, has more displacement and torque in the lower RPM range.

Basically the LR motor is a better choice.
i don't know if that could be stated as fact or not after reading this thread.it seems in some opinions the gains of the LR are minimal at best.

What pistons are you guys using for your lr builds (part number) I looked through the wiesco catalog and didn't really see what I wanted for the 87mm pistons. What about higher comp pistons to with the longer dwel time sounds like it could be bad

2.3l stroker pistons (Wiseco - K596M85). JAM use Venolia which can be custom made but cost a little more. IMO I'd stick to 86mm bore.

If your going with the 4g64 2.4l thats fine. On the 4g63 block I'd stick with .040 over.
