Any ideas on where to look next? Bucking, Stalling

So lately, every once in a while, I will just be cruising along and I will get a hard bucking. This isnt under boost or anything. This is just cruising. When it would do it, it would just do it a few times, then I would never experience any problems. Today, I was cruising and same thing. It started bucking, but a little harder this time and more. I though nothing of it, it will go away and all will be good. Well, the first stoplight that I hit, it dies. I immediately fire it right back up and try to go, it dies again. Now it won start. Just cranks and cranks. It did fire up once and then just sputtered really bad and died. I get out, check everything under the hood that I can at a quick glance. Nothing out of the ordinary. Finally after almost 20min of just snooping around it starts up again. By this time I am pissed that I have been out in the middle of the road, so I put it in gear and just smash the gas. 1,2,3,4 gear pull WOT, no issues. I drive the 15 min drive back home, no issues.

I am getting ready to check plugs, but what else can I look at here? Ideas? Scanned for check engine codes and got none.

Just out of wonderment did your afr go real lean? I have had this happen once and a while and my afr goes real lean. Then out of no where it goes away. Car runs flawless after that.

No CEL's of course. I just went for another drive and its bad. Car bucks very hard. It cutout once real bad and I just floored the gas for a good 3 seconds and got no response from the car at all. I logged that small drive where it bucked pretty bad, sent it to Tom just for safe measure. I dont knwo what went wrong. A week ago I could say nothing but great things about the car, now I cant even drive it without it bucking violently on me.

Then to add to it. I have already payed for a hotel down in St. louis, cause I was gonna go to the track down there tomorrow night. Looks like theres a $90 wasted!

Try swapping in the stock coil packs... possibly overheating one of the toyota coils...

Deos anyone know if there are any major differences in the mivec cam angle sensor and the exhaust cam angle sensor? I know there is different part numbers and the mivec one is like $30 more than the exhaust one. I didnt know if there were truly any difference or if its just a way mitsu makes more money haha.

So I hooked up evoscan hoping to see a code stored in the ecu. There are no cel's, but FINALLY!! I got a code stored. P0123. Throttle Position Sensor. At least I have a starting point now!

i see u threw the throttle position sensor code, thats what i was going to say to check its either not plugged in all the way or is going bad. when i had my plug lose i could just barely hit the pedal and it be fine (but would take forever to get up to speed haha) or if i went full throttle it be fine, but would buck like crazy inbetween. then i just happen to push on the plug and it snapped back in and the issue went away and never came back
