You said the noise was during decel. Are you pressing the clutch pedal when you are decelerating ? Pherhaps maybe is nature of the triple clutch,,, I know tilton's make all type of noises that could mislead a person who has never used them to think something is wrong.
That noise could be resonating through the driveshaft making you think noise is also appearing in the rear.

In my case, not pushing the clutch. If I push the clutch there is no noise (since there is no drivetrain load).

I think the noise happens with the clutch in or out, which would point to the transfer case. I'm on the stock clutch as well, so it shouldn't be making much noise.

The Amsoil I ordered should be coming in this afternoon so hopefully I can get it switched out and update tonight.

No, I'm still on the stock clutch as mentioned a few posts above.

I've seen a lot of people running the heavy 110 and 250 with great success

Hmm interested to see what's wrong! I changed out my fluids to OEM and had no problems since then.

Switched the fluids to amsoil, and while everything is running a little smoother than it used to, the noise is still not gone. I'm beginning to think there is some sort of vibration around the transfer case that we confused with a grinding noise. I'll have to do a little more checking when I get time.

Shocker that it didn't clear the noise up Who would have thought that

On a serious note look to the "quoted" portion of post 198 in this thread. Might be a few places to look/address https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...inside-14.html

Mine doesn't sound anything like that. It only lasts for a second tops. I'm almost positive that its the exhaust vibrating against something at this point. Probably got shifted a bit during the timing belt change. I'm just glad I don't need a new transfer case.

Just to update this for anyone searching in the future, it ended up being the exhaust vibrating against something. Tightened up a few things and replaced a missing bolt and the noise is gone now. I guess things just got shifted around enough while we were doing the timing belt that the noise appeared at the same time as the fluid changes.
