not a stupid clutch to use for street use. a tilton carbon is stupid. this clutch is just annoying for street use but is very streetable. it does take a nak to do so but like anything you learn.

QM told me it is possibly a shim issue. they gave me a few things to do and i will report back to them with what i have found

I run tilton carbon carbon in my high hp street car it it works better than anything on the planet. But I run it with a very heavy flywheel so it doesnt have to be slipped much to get it to launch. It has been very long wearing for me with hundreds of hard runs and very little friction wear.

I ran a QM for two weeks and took it back out. hated the clutch for daily use.

The best clutch for daily are the carbonetic ATS twins and triples. longest wearing friction material by leaps and bounds. nothing comes even remotely close.

I have tried virtually every clutch in existence. and these are just my opinions. yours may vary.

my triple ats was awesome and I'd still be using if it didn't self destruct from improper install/assembly

The shop that installed it either assembled it wrong after checking the disc wear or installed it incorrectly according to the aftermath (Sent pictures to the Carbonetics rep). I'd still have the clutch if it wasn't for the incompetence of said shop effectively ruining my clutch and more the likely my trans as well.

I was more or less sharing my opinion on my ATS and letting it be known I'd still have it if not for the morons at said previous shop.

So far I'm not really happy with the QM 8Leg but since I bought it I might as well get my moneys worth.

Well I am going to the track tonight. Not to make a new personal best but to just feel the car out. I can already tell its going to be a bad day. Last night I went to shift from 1st to 2nd and missed a gear. I don't understand how the help I keep missing gears. It's a brand new trans and clutch yet i just can't seem to get into gear and I always end up braking syncros.

I was running amsoil synthetic gear oil and switched to a non synthetic 80/90. I was told thatmight help.

I can't see me being this.bad of a driver.

This clutch has me stalling the damn car all the time (Might be a few other things) and I feel like such a rookie even though I can drive my Wife's STi like a pro.
