this has nothing to do with standard or long rod, long rod should have less side loading, I've pulled apart long rod motors with 5000km that looked nothing like this.
exactly what i was thinking.

So do you wish you went with a standard rod motor
i don't think that would have changed anything here.

So then by process of elimination we can say it was due to what the ptw clearances entirely? To tight?
