I don't see a need to build the motor on the stock 8/9 turbo. Just make sure to get a good tune.

throttle body spacer and nitrous are really the only way to go for a good reliable big HP daily driven Evo

This pretty much describes my car for about 360/361 WHP/TQ with a 'mild' tune. I do have a full exhaust, plus IC piping and intake.

You drive an 8 or 9?

Cams, cam gears, exhaust, intake, tune

Pretty much what I have and I've been driving on this setup for 135K miles....approx...bought it stock with 13,500 and it was previously tuned but I'm not sure to what level...Still alive!

OK, just read your 400HP goal....you'll need more than this....I'm around 330HP on CA 91 octane

Me?

I get around 22-24 mpg. I just checked on my last fill up and I got 24 mpg....granted I drive even when the gas light turns on for a little bit.

I average about 300 miles to a tank.
