overboost evo 9

hey guys, Im having a problem with overboosting. Ive looked in forums and havent really found anything.
I put a 3'' hks highpower turbo back exhaust on and it ran fine, a couple days later i installed an hks ssq blow off valve. then it started over boosting!? so i turned my boost controller all the way down to have it run on waste gate boost which from what i hear is about 11 pounds, and im still over boosting!?
the BOV is not a recirc and its installed correctly.

Can anybody help me out? Or give me any ideas, any help is appreciated.
THANKS!

Boost controller failure

To run true wasgate psi only what you need to do is...

Take the vacuum line from the turbo j pipe and run it directly to the wastegate it should be around 16-17psi

I would remove the bov, it is known to be a waste of money and a hassle to get running on the Evo. Since something is wrong revert back to the stock DV and see if your problem is fixed.

I agree with evo8426 on this issue. Since the problem arose after installing the HKS VTA BV, then the 1st step in my opinion would be to revert to the default, factory, recirculating piece and see if this cures the problemo.
