Help me with my potential build :)

Hello!

So heres the situation, im doing an engine build next spring (the way the months are flying by, it'll be quick). I need some expert help on what i should do. I'll break it down.

Goals (always talked about here):
- Would like a safe 500whp
- Only have the option of pump gas (94 in canada, equivalent to your 93 octane in US)
- Want quick spool that holds up top as well, I like torque and good response.
- I use my car on the street and If i end up doing track stuff, its mostly lapping events.

Engine:
- Ive decided on the 2.4 for a couple reasons. I read its quite the reliable stroker motor. They said for my power goal, that engine will be very reliable. Im not pushing it crazy. Thoughts? Good choice?

Turbo:
Heres where my question lies..... WHICH ONE?! I think considering im stuck on pump gas, im gonna have to go T3... i dont know anything about how these T3's work.
Example of questions:
- should i do twin scroll?
- should i do ball bearing?
- is there crap brands compared to good brands?
- which turbo would provide my WHP goal + good spool up (full boost, latest by 4000-ish RPM + hold power/boost up top)
- anything else i should know?

Supporting mods?
- 1100cc injectors sufficent? I have 950cc currently, is that enough?
- do i need double pumper?
- can i reach my goal without porting my head, intake manifold and TB??
- I have obviously TBE, Intake, IC Piping, GSC S2's, springs, retainers
- Im going to get for sure getting spoolinup cop and MAP o2 eliminator or just the o2 dump.

Ill leave that for now. Thanks in advance. Ive been meaning to make this thread for a while.

When I decided to build my engine I went with a 2.3l because I wanted the additional displacement for the street. I thought about a 2.4l, but between reading about some issues with the 2.4l and the fact that it is not a 4g63, I went with a 2.3l. I know there are plenty of members on the forum that run 2.4l cars and are extremely happy with their setups, so I don't think you can go wrong with a 2.3 or 2.4.

There are a lot of quality turbo kits on the market (ETS, Buschur, etc...), but have you thought about running a stock frame turbo? If you went with an FP Black you could get near your WHP goal and the spool would be great compared to some of the larger turbos. If not, I know ETS has an off the hook twin scroll setup that would be awesome for the street. Forced Performance has a line up of very nice turbos, perhaps the HTA3076 might interest you. I would salvage some peak WHP for a more streetable powerband.

I think you might be able to get away with 950cc injectors if you are only going to 500 whp on 94oct, but I am not sure. I ran 880cc and made mid 400's.

Ported head is not necessary and you can probably get near 500 whp without porting the IM and TB, but for what it costs it would be a good idea to do it at the same time.

Spoolin' Up COP is awesome. On of the best mods I've done.

I wanted to do fp black originally but b/c 2.4 will have a lot of flow. My top end won't be so good. Also ER said I'd only hit like 470 on pump w/ black.
I have a fp red right now.
