Sorry, we aren't attending that race. Not sure why he has us listed there.

That's a bummer. I was looking forward to it. Maybe reconsider. I normally go to two events a year. BR Shootout and World Cup Finals at MIR. I have a wedding to go to the weekend of my favorite event (BR Shootout) so I am fortunate that there is a second DSM event to go to this year. I am going to be back for 2015 though. Don Roadrunr and my buddies are all local and were excited to hang out again. Dang weddings! Hahaha.

I'm not ready for the event batty200, I don't want to haul the EVO there to test and trans and maybe get tossed for no cage and I believe it doesn't fit any class well. The 1g is what we were going to take and I've got the trans out of it making some changes.

Have you not tested the trans yet?

Yes the trans has been tested for the last three years but each time we update something we go back to the track. The car has gone 9.3 already on the trans.

Update on parts, they finished this new part I had built to hold the bolts. I plan to install them tonight!

Ya I've been following your transmission build since the start I was just wondering if it's been tested with the new parts. But I got my answer and hopefully we'll be hearing from you soon with positive results!

Well I hope this takes care of the issues. The auto certainty will be the next great "Evolution" in drag racing for our platform! Good luck on that 8 second run!

WOW IT FEELS GREAT TO GET UP IN THE MORNING, GET IN THE BAD BISH AND DRIVE TO FREAKING WORK!!!!!!!!

The car is on the road and I'm putting it through it's paces, finally! I am so freaking hopeful of this going well, FINALLY!!

I came up with an idea that is about 10 years past due for the auto transmissions in the DSM's and now the EVO. The torque converter bolts in the DSM's have been coming loose and falling out for years. We've had it happen on the EVO now 2 or 3 times and I believe it was the actual cause of failure for us each time the trans broke the input shaft. I came up with an idea to keep the bolts locked in and we have now released the product. Actually we sold out of the first batch I had made in one day and I installed them in the Bad Bish last night. It's good to drive the car and not keep listening for a rattle or noise letting me know they are loose! My daughter and I took the car out for a nice cruise last night and all was flawless.

This morning I got up, fired up the car and backed out of the garage shutting the door behind me with the garage door opener, that is a damn good feeling! The drive to breakfast and then work was just fantastic.

I am not expert 5 speed driver, that's for sure. That is why I've had Kevin and Trent driving this car for year. This trans for me is like a little piece of heaven. No missed gears, the power band on the car is just sick, 1/4 throttle and just bump the shifter with my thumb and it goes into gear and stays right in the peak torque, the acceleration and smoothness is not even describable.

Also, while the car was down I finally got the electric power steering sorted out and installed. It is also completely ****ing fantastic. The engine now drives one single belt that runs the alternator and the engine bay is super clean without all that crap in there. The power steering, to me, feels like stock. I don't notice any difference between the electric and standard power steering on the car. Now, I rarely drive EVO's on the street, so someone who drives there car constantly and is more in touch with the feel may switch and feel something I don't but I am happy as hell with the swap. I'm also tickled that if I have to push the car around for some reason, the power steering works even if the engine is off and not running!

I'm going to keep driving the car around as much as I can and put it through as much street use as I can and head to the track one of these evenings with it. Maybe next week on a Wednesday or Friday night.

I just got back from getting lunch.......holy freaking hell is this car awesome! I have a bunch of little crap to do to it now but it is unreal.

I'll tell you one thing, they don't call it a torque converter for nothing! The car feels like it has a V8 in it.
