You do have an earlier post where you imply that shifts are very firm. I do like the idea of setting an ECU for this tranny.
I didnt dream up anything. got the info from you. You said after driving the trans that it downshifted so hard it was actually easier to go through the gears then come to stop in forth gear before engaging first at a stop. I can find that quote pretty easy if you like. you dont post much on here anymore.

Ok then...Ever seen or done an X trans on a IX motor in a IX body(fitment? or make X trans to IX conversion kit?)? I'd like tiptrontic stuff.
I'm guessing we would need two ECU...IX for motor and X for trans...how to make both work? I have no idea.
Yes lots of money$$$$$ but that's why we can own/maintain/upgrade EVOs....Cost effective...blah blah blah. Who cares why I want autotragic. I just want it like all the douchbags that want expensive a$$ Volk/Work/APR/Full-Race/Ball bearing Turdbos.
Or any way of getting Standalone to do everything? Wondering if I should create a new thread for this or unless I should learn to use the Noob Search button / Google. Yes I'm a noob that likes big *****.
Don't ask why...why ask why, try bud dry.
I'm just waiting for douchbags to come at me.

not to mention the tuning disaster it would create.

Well, I guess I could order one of these over seas. Probably over $25k for this setup.
Saw this when I had my STi several years ago. Looked like a proven technology. Anyone speak Czech language?...hehehehhe.
Yes I know, it still requires rally style shifting, but no clutch to press. One less thing I have to worry about since I'm a lazy Merican! Flame on Flamers!
Ok, it's not autotragic and clutchless. did a search and found a topic related to sequential...hehehhhehe...move along people. Nothing to see here.
Go buy a GTR or an ugly X!?!?! LoL! at that statement!

Here's one for the STi...1000WHP(at least that's what they claim...don't believe the interwebz!)! That was rare to have that much power several years ago on an STi.

Revised with video.
Hmmm, wondering if it's more cost effective to do a X motor/custom mounts/trans/custom axel/diff/wiring/cluster swap than do a sequential trans into a IX. Why?!?! B/C everyone wants to be different....whatever floats your boat, dude.
Anyone know anything about the X 5-speed? I know how car companies like to squeeze every dime possible out of tooling. Is the manual tranny different than what is on a VIII or a IX?

Found this Dave B.
Wasn't sure if you've worked with these guys.
On another note, there was an Auto 5 speed trans offered...where, I'm not sure. Possibly in Japan in the wagon version I'd suppose. Anyone can get their hands on one or know where I can purchase. That would be the cheaper route for my daily EVO. I'll just keep the other track EVO 5 speed manual. Hehehehehe!

That's English Racing's first attempt at an Evo auto. They actually started first and are using a different auto tranny than DB but have shelved the project for the time being for the same issue that David is having - not strong enough for an Evo.
